Ready for Some Spring Diversions?

There are two Jewish-themed arts and leisure options being offered now that just may pique your interest:

Beginning March 27th through April 13th, Actors’ Summit Theater in Akron will be staging a romantic comedy called Handle with Care. With a story line described as “a beauty, a bubbie and a box,” the play highlights the comical scenario of tracking a package destined for Israel while contending with some unique English/Hebrew exchanges with the shipping company. By evening’s end, the package (and love) take flight! Visit www.actorssummit.org for further information and to obtain tickets.

The Massillon Museum is currently featuring the inspirational art of Nelly Zygmunt Toll who, as a child, painted pictures of hope during the Holocaust. Nelly and her family hid from the Nazis in Poland with a Christian family. During her confinement, she painted sixty brightly detailed watercolors of her ideal world of hope--the majority of which are included in this exhibit.

The exhibit, called Imagining a Better World: The Artwork of Nelly Toll, runs through May 18th. Additional information can be obtained by visiting www.massillonmuseum.org.
