Message from the President 7/28/2016

Summer! As an educator, I love to hang on to every last moment of the glorious summer and right now, at the end of a wonderful July, I look towards our oncoming school year-both secular and religious, as well as the beginning of the High Holiday Season. Mike and I have enjoyed many adventures this summer-mostly close to home, and I look forward to beautiful, cooler fall weather and the lovely leaf changes. For information on our services and the holidays, you can always check our calendar at www.tbshudson.org/calendar. If you have specific questions about Temple Beth Shalom that can’t be answered by the website, please feel free to email me and I will try to get an answer for you. Our August services will be August 5th and August 19th. Our annual and very popular outdoor service is August 19 at Hudson Springs Park at the larger of the two shelters. Join us at 6:00 for a pot luck dinner, followed at 7:00 by an inspirational service with special music and readings, and a dessert oneg. TBS will supply hamburgers, veggie burgers and buns. Please rsvp at the following site: http://tinyurl.com/tbspotluck16

Recently I received an email about a special event at the Lake County Captains Stadium. 7 PM on Sunday, September 4th will be Jewish Heritage Night there. Tickets are $9. The stadium is about an hour from Hudson. Information about the event is included in a link here.

If you have questions about your temple invoice, which should arrive in the mail in early August, please contact Mark Schildhouse markschildhouse@gmail.com or me kimmike89@roadrunner.com  If you have been billed in the wrong category, you can contact our accountant directly (Lisa Singer accounting@tbshudson.org )

Enjoy the rest of August!

Kim
