Letter from Rabbi Ross
Rabbi Michael Ross

Dear TBS Friends and Family,

It was such a joy to celebrate Hanukkah with our TBS community last Friday night! It was a delight to see such an amazing turnout and to welcome so many new faces!

A series of huge “thank yous” are in order:
– to Laurie Frankino and her amazing kitchen crew
– to James Field, for organizing our security
– to the sisterhood for wonderful latkes this year
– to Peace, Love and Little Donuts, a new Hudson shop – for your generous donation
– to Chuck Fink and Robin Selinger for your musical leadership
– to Adam Alderson, for running our zoom room
– to all of you, for the gorgeous, artistic hannukiyot that decorated our sanctuary
– to Pilgrim Christian Church in Chardon. for the 1,000 peace cranes that decorate our sanctuary and social hall

As the year wind’s down and the hopes for another hostage release and possible pause in the Israel/Hamas fighting increase each day, we hope more hostages will be released soon. We hope these pauses lead to more humanitarian aid that is urgently needed. There is hope that the new year will bring a transition in the fighting to save the lives of innocent Palestinian civilians. We hope for peace in 2024.

I will be offering a new 3-part class in January to study the history of the conflict. Details are below.

Donations to support Israel can be made at Cleveland Federation:
