Sisterhood Schmooze 10/16/2014
A Fun Evening for Lilith Salon Participants:
Sincere thanks to Kim Strausser for her warm and gracious hospitality in hosting “Lilith in the Sukkah” last Thursday!
To follow are Kim’s highlights from the event:
Thursday evening, nine “sisters” gathered in a Sukkah and shared a meal and interesting discussion. When the chilly evening air chased them indoors, Lisa, Shelly. Beth, Amy, Beth, Shelly, Lynn, and Rebecca sat in Kim’s living room while Lisa led the discussion about three articles from the Lilith Magazine dealing with identity, breaking free of parental expectations and rediscovering Judaism. Beet salad, tuna mousse, pasta, hummus and crackers and sweets were noshed and enjoyed. Thanks for coming!

Sisterhood Book Club- Change of Venue:
Please note that the Sisterhood Book Club gathering on Thursday, December 4th, at 7:00 p.m., will now be held at Temple Beth Shalom in the Social Hall.
Author Irv Korman will be joining us that evening to share in the discussion of his book, “I Was Jerry Lewis’ Bodyguard for 10 Minutes!”
Irv’s book chronicles his many encounters and interactions with various entertainers and celebrities over the years.
Please join us for a fun and lively discussion!
Sisterhood’s Annual Frying of the Latkes:
During the High Holidays, neighbors in the vicinity of TBS were treated to the unique sounds of the shofar. In December, the Hudson community will again be treated to the distinctive aroma of potatoes frying in oil when the sistas “take over” the TBS kitchen for our Annual Frying of the Latkes!
Be sure to save the date: SUNDAY, DECEMBER 14TH, at 9:00 a.m.
Latkes make great gifts and the sistas have turned this time-honored event into a CELEBRATION!
Watch the Schmooze for further details!
Yours in Sisterhood,
Emily Audra Fleisher
