An Open Invitation to Our First TBS Community Kever Avot Service
Kever Avot (“graves of the ancestors”) is the custom of visiting graves of loved ones during the High Holy Days, spiritually linking the living to the preceding generations during this time of deep introspection. In this spirit of remembrance, we will conduct a special service at our beautiful TBS cemetery (located in the Hudson-Markillie Cemetery, 410 N. Main St.) on the Sunday between Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur, October 9, at 3:00 p.m. We invite you to join with us as we pray together, support one another, and honor the memory of those who have passed at this, our first community Kever Avot Memorial Service. Please join us for this meaningful and reflective service, which is open to all. Whether your loved ones are buried here or far away, whether your loss is recent or many years ago, you are welcome. In case of inclement weather, the service will be held in our sanctuary.
