Message from the President 9/29/2016
Shalom, dear friends! I want to thank you for all the kind wishes and congratulations for the Cleveland Jewish News 18 Difference Makers Award that I will be receiving in November. What a surprise! I’m honored and very excited about this!
As we turn toward the High Holidays I want to remind you of some of the wonderful things from the past few months. We have welcomed new families, we have celebrated B’nai Mitzvot, we have offered help to others and we have worshipped together. I want to thank everyone who participated in some way in the amazing First Serve, Serve First event on September 11th. Maybe you baked cookies, helped clean up at fire stations, or sorted through donated items; but everyone who participated had such positive things to say about this event. I hope that we can continue to work with our neighbors to offer this help every year.
I am so happy to welcome our new members, Sol and Federico Kalnicki and their daughters Tali and Kayla; Lydia Bronstein and Tim Drake; Rachel and Emery Stutzman and daughter, Tessa; Lisa Lachman and Thor Wasbotten and children, Leia, Rachel, Elliot and Dakota; Casey and Amanda Weinstein and daughter, Nora; Deanna and Jeremiah Freedman and their children, Isaac, Molly and Hannah; Meredith and Tom Zaffrann and their sons Joshua, Maxwell and Cooper; Georgene and Harry Berman; Stephen Mansfield and Sloan Robocker; Julie and Jonathan Lapine and daughter, Hannah; and Judy and Andrew Moyer!
