Letter from Rabbi Ross Dear TBS Friends and Family,
This Saturday we have Prayer Essentials at 9:00 am and Torah Study at 9:45.В In our Prayer Essentials group, we will discuss the start of Rabbi Michael Cumins book, “Making Prayer Real.” I will provide handouts the first few weeks.В In Torah Study, we will explore the building on the mishkan in section Terumah.
This weekend marks the completion of the “First Phase” of the ceasefire between Hamas and Israel. On Wednesday, Yarden Bibas buried his wife and two small children. All three were buried in the same casket. It has been a raw week for many in Israel.
25 living hostages have now been returned and 8 dead hostage bodies haveВ been returned.В About 25 living hostages remain in Gaza and about 30 dead hostage bodies remain there as well.
The “Second Phase” of the ceasefire was supposed to begin this weekend. Negotiations, which were scheduledВ to begin 3 weeks ago, began Thursday. The second phase calls for Israeli troops to leave Gaza, and for the ceasefire to become permanent.
It’s not clear if this First Phase will be extended for a week or two. It might.
It’s not clear if war will resume. It might.
We hope and pray that the desire to bring back all the hostages will encourage the continuationВ of the process until a “SecondВ Phase” is completed.

Contributions can be made by check, stock or right on our website. And if you useВ ZeffyВ to process your credit card you can choose the amount you want for fees all the way down to 0%. Let’s do this!
