 Issue #730
Letter from Rabbi Ross Dear TBS Friends & Family,This has been a hard, heavy week in light of Saturday’s neo-nazi protest in Hudson. We are responding to this incident with a few concrete steps.

  – Next Wednesday evening, at 7:00 pm, TBS and the First Congregational Church will hold a brief peace vigil at the Gazebo. We will be joined by a Hudson area chorus. Rev. Wiley and I will extend messages of love and compassion instead of hate. – The TBS Board voted on Monday to extend our security coverage at our building. We currently have a guard at our Friday night services. WE will now have a guard at our Sunday School gatherings during the school year as well. We will bring more details about this soon.
 – Our hearts go out to the families in Minneapolis after the deadly shooting yesterday.
We will let go of the week and celebrate Shabbat this Friday at Hudson Spring Park! We are so excited to come together for this wonderful, annual event at 5:30 pm. We will feast and sing and then have dessert!
TBS Religious School NewsDeb Rogers is formally joining our faculty: she will co-teach the Hebrew classes on Thursdays and she will be our b’nai mitzvah tutor and teach music and cooking on Sundays. Jean Beasley will be our assistant director this year, teaching on Thursday with Deb. On Sundays, Jean will teach the younger students, while I will teach the older students. I will serve as the education director this year as well. Jean’s daughter, Shari, will run our preschool program each month.
Our first day of classes is 9/14.
