e-Megillah
Thursday May 1, 2025 Letter from Rabbi Ross Today, Thursday, is Yom Ha’atzma’ut, Israel’s Independence Day. Listening to Donniel Hartman and Yossi Klein Halevi, they encouraged us in their weekly podcast to focus on gratitude and hope this year as we commemorate the day. Personally, I am brokenhearted that the hostages are still in Gaza. It’s hard to be joyful this year. And still we can all locate gratitude and hope. TBS will celebrate Israel Shabbat next Friday, 5/9. Rabbi Brown’s Installation at Beth Israel – The West Temple – Sat. 5/3 at 9:30 am TBS Torah for Our Times class will take a road trip to BITWT for the morning activities.
