Sisterhood Schmooze 2/27/2014
Special Thanks and Appreciation
Sisterhood would like to acknowledge Frieda Miller Brown for her time and efforts in organizing the Sistas Dinner Out last Thursday at Lager and Vine. By all accounts, it was a fun and lively evening and, as they say… A good time was had by all!
Mark Your Calendars for a Post-Passover Dinner Out
The next Sistas Dinner Out has been scheduled for Wednesday, April 23rd, at 7:00 p.m. We will be gathering at the popular Papa Joe’s in the Valley–located at 1561 Akron-Peninsula Road (at Portage Trail). This will be a great opportunity to share Seder stories and to celebrate Spring! Emily Audra Fleisher is currently accepting reservations. Please contact: emaudra@juno.com.
Sista and Guest Night 2014
Lisa Singer and her husband Rick are gearing up for Sisterhood’s annual Sista and Guest Night which will be held on Saturday evening, May 3rd, at their Medina home. Now’s the time to sift through your favorite recipes in preparation for this “foodie” event of the year!
Sista and Guest Night provides an excellent opportunity to show off our culinary creativity and provides a wonderful way to savor our specialty dishes and creations! Be sure to mark your calendars for this always fun event. More details will be forthcoming!
Attention All Bibliophiles: Sisterhood is Starting a Book Club
Sisterhood is pleased and excited to announce the formation of a Book Club. The first gathering will be held at the Hudson home of Stefani Carlson on Thursday, May 8th, at 7:00 p.m. At that gathering, the book The Septembers of Shiraz, by Dalia Sofer, will be discussed.
The Learned Owl Book Shop in Hudson has been advised of the formation of our Book Club and they have added it to their roster of active groups. The Learned Owl (330.653.2252) will have copies of the book for sale.
For questions about the Book Club or to reserve your spot for the May gathering, please contact Stefani Carlson at secarlson5@gmail.com or by phone at 330.752.3349. Or you can contact Sisterhood president Sandy Ternay at sandy.ternay@sodexo.com.
