Shop Til You Drop (and Dine!)

An e-mail advisement was recently sent to all the sistas regarding an upcoming event sponsored by Akron’s Temple Israel Sisterhood–which now is included in our WRJ Central District.

Members, friends and family are cordially invited to a Shop Til You Drop event at Hudson’s First and Main this Sunday, May 17th. The fun starts at 2:00 p.m.

Merchants such as Chicos will be offering shoppers an extra 10% discount on top of any store promotions!

The “Drop Dine,” which starts at 5:00 p.m. at the Aladdin Restaurant, will provide an opportunity to schmooze, share shopping adventures and meet the ladies of the Akron Sisterhood.

For those who simply want to join the group for dining, that option is available as well.

Sisterhood Cheesecake Bake-off

As part of the TBS Shavuot celebration, our Sisterhood is sponsoring a cheesecake bake-off raffle event which will be offered following Shabbat services.

Please mark your calendars for Friday evening, May 22nd.

All proceeds from the sale of the cheesecakes will benefit the Mary Cropp Camp and Israel Fund and the students in our Religious School.

Sistas, here’s your chance to work your culinary magic! Bake one cheesecake for sampling and another whole cheesecake to be taken home by a lucky raffle winner!

For those baking, please ensure that your treat is dropped-off at TBS no later than 7:30 p.m. on the 22nd.

Recipe-sharing is certainly encouraged. (Please note any dietary components of your cheesecake such as gluten-free, sugar free or nut-free).

Raffle tickets are available for pre-sale as well as the night of the event. Tickets are a dollar a piece or six for five dollars.
