Sisterhood

Sisterhood Schmooze 12/19/2013

Robin Rosen-Sharp and Lisa SingerWe would like to extend our thanks and appreciation to Frieda Miller Brown for her diligence in coordinating our dinner at Pad Thai on Tuesday evening. Although the weather presented some challenges, we were happy to have several sistahs and guests joining us. The Temple Beth Sisterhood extends a warm welcome to our newest members, Judy Finkel and Barbara Rosenthal--both of whom traveled from Akron’s West Side to share the evening with us.

Robin Rosen-Sharp
and Lisa Singer were all smiles for this photo taken last week in San Diego. Along with Sandy Adland, the three sistahs represented Temple Beth Shalom at the North American Women of Reform Judaism (WRJ) Assembly. Congratulations to Lisa on her installation as an officer on the North American WRJ Board of Directors. We wish you continued success! Highlights of this event have been posted on YouTube.

Kathy Snyder is excited to report that plans are underway for MITZVAH DAY 2014. This event, which enables participants to donate their time in giving back to the community, will be held on Sunday, June 1, 2014. Organizational meetings are currently being held and volunteers are being recruited. Kathy may be contacted at This email address is being protected from spambots. If you haven’t yet acted on obtaining tickets for the Cleveland Playhouse production of YENTL, please note that time is running out!

The TBS seating block reserved for Sunday, January 26th at 2:30 p.m. will be relinquished in a matter of days, according to Religious School Director, Stefani Carlson.

Adult tickets are $44.00 which includes a $5.00 donation in support of the Gesher Tzedakah Project. Young adult tickets (up to age 25) are $14.00. (These ticket prices reflect a considerable savings compared to the usual box office rates).

Checks should be directed to Stefani’s attention and made payable to Temple Beth Shalom.

Sisterhood Dinner Out

Frieda Miller Brown is sitting by her computer anxious to hear from the sistahs regarding our upcoming dinner at Pad Thai.

We will be gathering on Tuesday evening, December 17th at 7:00 p.m.

This popular Hudson dining spot is located at 5657 Darrow Road/Route 91- just north of Terex Road.

Pad Thai offers a variety of tasty appetizers and entrees.

Take a break from the icy winter chill by warming-up with the ladies of the Sisterhood!
