Second “Welcome Home” Indoor Adult Shabbat Service
Led by Past President Larry Terkel and Cantorial Soloist Robin Selinger
Friday, August 6, at 7:30 pm
In the TBS Sanctuary
After safely worshiping together with 26 congregants at our first indoor service on July 16, we will hold a second indoor service on Friday, August 6, at 7:30 pm in our sanctuary. Rabbi Michael and family will be on vacation, so Past President Larry Terkel has graciously volunteered to lead our second summer service with Cantorial Soloist Robin Selinger.
We recognize that the new COVID strain is active in our area, so we will follow the same protocol that was comfortable for us at our July 16 service. A plexiglass shield is still in place to protect us and Robin when she sings, so we can still enjoy her gift of music. Seating will be limited to 2 couples per every other row. The prayer books we used on July 16 will be rotated out so the possibility of sharing the virus is reduced. For our safety, we will also continue to have a security guard from the Cleveland Jewish Federation outside our building as a presence on-site before and during all future services.
RSVP REQUIRED TO ATTEND
We respect the need to continue to keep social distancing for the immediate future, even for fully vaccinated congregants and guests, so we need to know exactly how many people to expect for pre-planned seating in the sanctuary.
MASKS REQUIRED FOR ALL ATTENDEES
We respectfully request that those who plan to attend in person be vaccinated prior to the service. Zoom will not be available for the August 6 Shabbat service.
ONEG IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWING THE SERVICE
A brief oneg is being provided after services. COVID rules will be followed in the foods we serve and how they are presented.
RSVP TO LAURIE FRANKINO lfrankino@gmail.com if you plan to attend in person and list how many people will be in your group.
We encourage you to join us as we continue to welcome you back to your spiritual home, Temple Beth Shalom.
Shabbat Shalom,
Jonathan Selinger and Laurie Frankino
