Letter from Rabbi Ross

Rabbi Michael RossDear TBS friends and family,

Thursday was Tu Beshvat, the New Year of the Trees. It is similar to a Jewish Earth Day. We are now on a cycle of Jewish festivals during our next 3 full moons. TBS will celebrate Tu Beshvat with a short, tasty seder Saturday 1/30 at 11 am. Please bring grape juice, dried fruits, nuts, and a small amount of maple syrup! Torah Study will meet beforehand, from 9:30 to 11 am.

JUDAISM 101

I wanted to let each of you know I will be teaching a new, weekly “Judaism 101” course for Temple Beth Shalom, Hudson, this winter on zoom. This class will meet on Sunday afternoons from 4:30 – 6:00 pm from January 24 to May 9. The class will be organized like a college survey course with a focus on: Jewish history, holidays, philosophy, and prayer. Only a few zoom windows are still open. The course is free for TBS members. Please let me know if you are interested in this class. RSVPrabbimichaelross@gmail.com
