And, congratulations are also in order for Lisa Singer. Lisa, who previously served so capably as treasurer of WRJ Central District, now has a new title… and role!

Lisa is the now the Area Director for Northeast Ohio. This brand-new area includes: Temple Beth Shalom (Hudson), Temple Israel (Canton), Temple Israel (Akron) and Congregation Rodef Shalom in Youngstown.

The Sisterhood groups from Canton and Youngstown are new affiliates of the WRJ Central District.

We wish both Lisa and Sandy the very best in their respective endeavors and we extend our sincere good wishes for your continued success and fulfillment.

Sisterhood “Paid Member” Luncheon

Our “Paid Member” luncheon is a mere three days away! Come join us on Sunday, November 16th at 12:30 p.m. in the Social Hall at TBS.

Sisterhood membership is open to all women of the congregation, as well as women in our community who are not affiliated with Temple Beth Shalom but wish to support our Sisterhood as members in good standing.

Whether you are joining as a brand new member, or renewing your membership for the coming year, our Membership Chair, Robin Rosen-Sharp is more than happy to assist! Robin may be contacted at rrsdvm2@aol.com.

Additionally, if you wish to submit your dues payment in person on Sunday AND be a guest at the luncheon, please let Lisa Singer know! (LisaSinger@aol.com or by phone at 330-241-9612).

Sunday’s catered luncheon will provide a perfect opportunity to celebrate Sisterhood, celebrate friendship, schmooze and have fun!

We hope to see you there!

Sisterhood Book Club

We’ll be gathering at Temple Beth Shalom in the Social Hall on Thursday, December 4th at 7:00 p.m.

Irv Korman, the author of I Was Jerry Lewis’ Bodyguard for 10 Minutes!, will be joining us for the discussion.

Irv Korman’s book highlights his encounters and interactions with numerous celebrities and entertainers.

Autographed copies of his book are available at Hudson’s Learned Owl bookstore.

Annual Frying of the Latkes

This is the event where a huge semi… loaded with a half-ton of Yukon Gold potatoes… unloads at 50 Division Street in Hudson!

(Well, we’re exaggerating a bit about the half-ton of spuds!)

Come join the sistas for our annual time-honored event as we create the most luscious latkes on the Planet!

The fun and frying will begin at 9:00 a.m. on Sunday, December 14th.

Mixing bowls, food processors and donations of heavy-duty tinfoil, large baggies, etc. are welcomed and appreciated.

Watch the Schmooze for more details.

Yours in Sisterhood,
Emily Audra Fleisher
