“Health and History” Options to Inform and Inspire:

Thanks to Sandy Ternay and Susan Terkel for making us aware of two upcoming program options which may be of interest to our members and others:
On Thursday, April 17th a documentary film called “Absolutely Safe” will be shown at Oberlin College. This film highlights the safety and health aspects of undergoing breast implants.
The other (free) program option focuses on the life and times of Anne Frank as seen through the eyes of Anne’s cousin, Buddy Elias.
This inspiring program, to commemorate the 85th anniversary of Anne Frank’s birth, will take place on Thursday, April 24th, at Cleveland’s Trinity Church.
Please refer to the informational flyers which were previously sent or contact Susan Terkel at sterkel@aol.com for further information or to arrange for a car pool.

“The Fifth Question”

The Four Questions will have already been presented by the time the sistas meet for dinner at Akron’s Papa Joe’s restaurant on Wednesday, April 23rd at 7:00 p.m.
So, the “Fifth Question” is… will you join us for a fun and lively dinner?
Emily Audra Fleisher is happily accepting reservations. Please contact her at emaudra@juno.com.
We hope to see you there!

Now’s the time to sift through your recipe files and cookbooks in preparation for this foodie event of the year!

Mitzvah Day… Not Too Far Away!

Sunday, June 1st, is just around the corner. On that day, TBS Sisterhood members will have a wonderful opportunity to give back to the community by volunteering at the Akron Red Cross.
This is a broad-based community endeavor in which many social service organizations and congregations will be participating.
Kathy Snyder has graciously offered to coordinate this event, along with Jane Grover, TBS Social Action chair.
Information regarding registering as a volunteer will be forthcoming.
Please consider donating a portion of your time in support of this important endeavor. As a volunteer, you’ll be performing a Mitzvah which will greatly enrich our community in a very special way!
Please contact Kathy at katsny0401@yahoo.com for information.

Yours in Sisterhood,
Emily Audra Fleisher
