Special Thanks to the “Bag Ladies”

It was all about collaboration and creativity on Tuesday evening when the sistas gathered at TBS to create Welcome Treat Bags for our incoming Religious School students.

We extend our sincere thanks and appreciation to the following Sisterhood members for their generous contributions of specialty items:

Stefani Carlson, Emily Fleisher, Shelley Jurkiewicz, Jennifer Kornblum, Beth Madis, Shelley Salzer, Lauren Senderoff, and Lisa Singer.

Each item in the bag corresponded to a specific Jewish theme or concept: a penny to emphasize the importance of tzedakah; a band-aid to promote Tikkun Olam (healing the world); candles for lighting on Shabbat and holidays… and more.

Both the Sisterhood and the Brotherhood are preparing for a special welcome reception to be held on Sunday, September 7th.

Temple Beth Shalom Sisterhood Honored by WRJ

We are pleased and proud to announce that our TBS Sisterhood was recently awarded a Special Merit certificate from the national office of Women of Reform Judaism (WRJ).

This special honor was given in recognition of our Sisterhood’s significant donations and support of the WRJ YES FUND (Youth, Education and Special Projects).

There’s Still Time…
