Sunday, September 8, 2019, 9 a.m. – 6 p.m.
It’s back-to-school time – and also the time of year for First Serve, the annual day of service that FCCH has organized and supported for years. Please register for one of more than 30 projects, nearly all in Akron’s North Hill neighborhood, at www.joinfirstserve.org. There are projects for families, children, youths and adults. Spend Sunday, September 9, improving yards, community centers and outdoor spaces in this interfaith effort to improve a community.
First Serve 2019 begins at 9 a.m. on September 8 with a Sending Service at the Akron Civic Theatre. Volunteers then go to their project sites throughout the North Hill Community of Akron. Around 3 p.m., everyone will gather at Lock 3, downtown Akron, for a concert celebration!
