Preparations for the TBS Congregational Seder- Volunteers Needed

Temple Beth Shalom will again be hosting its annual Congregational Second Seder on Saturday, April 4th.

Volunteer opportunities abound for this special and meaningful event. Our dedicated Sisterhood ladies will be gathering at TBS on Thursday, April 2nd to prepare traditional Passover foods while the guys from our Brotherhood will very capably assist with the table set-up in the Social Hall.

Volunteers are needed for the “Charoset Chop” that evening. Just like our Latke Fry, we’re in need of food processors, mixing bowls and utensils.

In addition to the charoset prep, we’ll be busy creating some really savory chicken matzo ball soup as well as the traditional Seder Plates for each table.

We’re also putting out a call for folks to purchase and donate traditional Seder foods to accompany the main dinner entrée, like hard boiled eggs, matzoh and gefilte fish. Thank you to all of the individuals who have offered to shop and donate!

With an event like this, coordination is the name of the game. Our thanks and appreciation go to Robin Rosen-Sharp for volunteering to be the “point person.” You may contact Robin at rrsdvm2@aol.com.

Robin will be keeping track of Sisterhood “active duty” volunteers and arrival times. In addition, Robin will be making note of folks willing to shop and donate specific items.

Brotherhood members are welcome to contact Art Busch at ascyb34@yahoo.com in regard to set-up activities.

For general information about the Congregational Second Seder, you can contact TBS Ritual Chair Laurie Frankino at lfrankino@gmail.com.

Remember, volunteering and acts of tzedakah are Mitzvahs! Thanks for your support of our Sisterhood and congregation.

Watch your INBOX, the e-Megillah and the Sisterhood Schmooze for future details.

Sisterhood Shabbat

Please mark your calendars for Friday evening, April 24th, when the Sisterhood conducts the Shabbat service as a gift to the congregation.

This event is always special and inspirational. Watch the e-Megillah and the Schmooze for future details.

Please note that the combined Sisterhood and Brotherhood event scheduled for Sunday, April 19th, has been postponed.

Yours in Sisterhood,
Emily Audra Fleisher
