Special note about Pittsburgh
Dear TBS family,
Our hearts are broken over the horrible tragedy yesterday in Pittsburgh. I spoke with the Akron Beacon-Journal about the sense of brokenness and sadness we are experiencing in Hudson today. You should know we have been contacted by Rev. Charlotte Collins Reed and Rev. Peter Wiley, both from Hudson churches, extending their thoughts and prayers.
Hillel at Kent State is holding a “Vigil for Pittsburgh” Monday at 5 p.m. at the “K” in front of the student center. This vigil will be co-sponsored by Chabad, Students Supporting Israel and the AEpi fraternity. All TBS members are welcome to attend. The ceremony will be 20 to 30 minutes in length.
TBS will also host a special healing service after Torah Study this Saturday, 11/3, at 10:30 a.m. We will include time for a brief discussion to share our own thoughts about the tragedy. Here’s the schedule for Saturday morning, 11/3:
9:00 – 10: 15: Torah Study – weekly Torah reading is Chayei Sarah, about the death of Sarah.
10:30 – 11:30: Healing Service, Memorial Prayers for Pittsburgh
Please join as you are able.
Kol brachot,
Rabbi Michael
