Letter from Rabbi Ross

Rabbi Michael RossDear TBS Friends and Family,

It was such a delight to celebrate Pride Shabbat and Gwyneth Katz’s Bat Mitzvah last weekend! A huge thank you to Laurie Frankino, Robin Selinger and Adam Alderson for all they do to support these important events at TBS. (My column about Pride Shabbat is scheduled to appear this weekend in the Record-Courier and sister papers.)

Last week, we also concluded our year-long “Prayer Lab” series of discussions on alternating Saturday mornings. These will resume in August with a new focus on the art of prayer.

As the school year wraps up, we now move into summer mode. Our next TBS gathering will be in two weeks, on 6/23. It’s our Congregational Meeting, which will take place at 6:30, followed by a Musical Shabbat Service. (These are shorter services, without a Torah Reading.)

Please make every effort to join us for both of these events!

TBS Brotherhood has tackled many building issues throughout this year to keep our campus safe and attractive. Our thanks to Dick McCormick, resident handyman, who updated our side entrance landing and steps by donating beautiful floor tile and laying it himself creating a safe, updated entry for our congregants. Thanks so much Dick and our very active Brotherhood team!
